Queer Love, a zine

An invitation to submit to a group show at Ingleside Gallery titled, "What is love," leads to a rumination about what makes queer love possible is what queer loves makes possible.

Hey Fellow Comrades & Neighbors:

We’ve just co-created a brand new zine called Queer Love for the “What is love?” Group Show at Ingleside Gallery, here in San Francisco. We used dreaming as our way of co-creating this across great distance. Then, we got to work crafting & arting over the weekend. And now, we have a fresh new zine ready to share with all of you.

Here we share a bit about how the Queering Dreams process of dreaming together helped facilitate co-creation:

It reads, "Queer Love" with hearts in place of the negative space in the Q & R and as postitive space in the O (upside down heart) & V. Underneath it is a black hear with a white upside down heart cut out of the middle of it. The overarching shape is an upside down black triangle. Under it reads, "by Crystal Mason & Jason Wyman & You. Next to it it reads, "What makes queer love possible & what queer love makes possible are one & the same for if one is present so too is the other. this queering of presence is the essence of queer love. Or put another way, there is no distance between here & there. While we have seeded some of what’s possible, it is incomplete without you. Please add, amend, discard, destroy. The distance between you & we is only a pen stroke, a tear, a dream away." in white text offset against a larger black triangle.

Would you like to get a FREE DIGITAL COPY that you can print from home? Well, Jason’s got the zine up on their online store, Queerly Complex.

It is set against a black and dark gray pixelated background. There is a headshot of Crystal, a Black, fat, queer artist and Jason Wyman, a white, queer, anti-binary artist.
